Hervé Massion, from gymnastics to Nocode and AI, via entrepreneurship

This week we profile Hervé Massion, a 55-year-old man whose career path will never cease to amaze you!

By the age of 30, he had already amassed a wide range of experience, from top-level gymnastics to acrobatic diving, as well as roles as announcer and stage manager at sporting and motoring events!

Following a series of upsetting events, Hervé's mind was made up: he had to go into business for himself.

He saw in Nocode and AI a new freedom that would enable him to move forward with his project in complete autonomy. Hervé is now one of our learners in the 30-hour online Nocode and AI training course offered by Alegria.academy, and may well be one of our students in the 15-month diploma course, 12 of which is a sandwich course!

He tells you all about his extraordinary career, his entrepreneurial project and his challenges! 

His background

Already at the age of 30, Hervé found himself at a crossroads in his life, with a baggage of experiences that already seemed to surpass a lifetime's journey. His professional journey began on the gymnastics mats, where he forged a reputation as a top-level gymnast, accumulating twenty years of hard work and dedication. But that was only the beginning.

In the interstices of his training, he entered the world of radio by becoming a speaker for the Skyrock group. This foray into the world of radio opened up new opportunities for him. He soon became the announcer for the French Gymnastics Federation, adding yet another string to his already impressive bow.

Then, like a vehicle taking a new trajectory, his career led him into the automotive world. Starting out as a announcer, he gradually worked his way up to stage manager, learning the ropes over the years.

It might have seemed a linear and promising path, but in 2007 a series of tragic events in his former workplace turned Hervé upside down, forcing him to re-evaluate his perspectives and priorities in search of a deeper meaning in his life... and to look at life in a new light.

In 2015, Hervé found the strength to bounce back and decided to become an entrepreneur. He then set up his startup, Sikiio(Finnish for fetus), a total innovation in biotechnology, providing portable wellness cabins. 

However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought its own set of challenges, jeopardizing the viability of his startup and plunging him into a period of economic turbulence. Faced with this adversity, Hervé had to reassess his priorities and look for new professional opportunities.

That's how he decided to turn to Nocode and AI, seeing these emerging fields as a path to professional rebirth. Having previously worked in risk prevention for an established company, he now aspires to rediscover the excitement and innovation of startups. His decision to join Alegria.academy's online training program is testimony to his commitment to acquiring new skills and positioning himself in a booming sector!

Discovering the Nocode

For Hervé, Nocode represents much more than just a technological tool; it's a gateway to new opportunities and a means of revitalizing his professional career. His determination to embrace change and reinvent himself inspires the members of our community, making him an example of resilience and courage. 

The discovery of Nocode and AI was a revelation for him, an opportunity to realize his ambitious projects without the usual financial and technical constraints. This transition to Nocode was the result of a series of events and reflections that shaped his personal and professional path.

It all started when Hervé came across an Instagram video by Francis Lelong, CEO & co-founder of Alegria.group, presenting the possibilities offered by Nocode and AI. Intrigued by this innovative approach to developing applications without having to code, he decided to join Alegria to explore this promising field. His ambition was clear: to take the 30-hour online training course offered by Alegria.academy and then join the 15-month training program, 12 of which is a sandwich course, to become a Nocode Expert! 

Hervé is an autodidact at heart, having learned to navigate different fields by drawing on his curiosity and perseverance. His academic career, though unconventional, illustrates his commitment to lifelong learning. At the age of 47, he undertook a Master's degree, which he passed with flying colors 5 years later, demonstrating his ability to overcome challenges and achieve his goals despite obstacles!

When Hervé set out on his entrepreneurial journey, he was quickly confronted with technical and financial challenges. Developing an application for his startup required considerable resources, both in terms of time and money. Estimates obtained for a beta version of the application were in the region of 100,000 euros, a substantial sum for a start-up in its initial phase.

Faced with these challenges, Hervé realized that he needed a more accessible and cost-effective approach to turning his ideas into reality. Alegria.academy's Nocode & AI training became an opportunity for him to equip himself with the skills needed to bring his projects to fruition, while freeing himself from the financial and technical constraints of traditional development.

As for AI, although already explored as part of his startup project, Hervé sees in it an extraordinary potential for improving his ideas and making them feasible at lower cost. How he uses it every day 

Although he's still at the beginning of his Nocode journey, he already sees the full potential of Nocode and is actively preparing to take advantage of it. "I'm still just starting out in this field, but I'm trying my best to see all the possibilities it has to offer!"

Nocode represents much more than a simple development tool for him: "Nocode enables us to realize projects that we would have been unable to carry out initially!" For him, it's the perfect opportunity to develop the application for his startup Sikiio, which promises to be a great challenge linking geolocation, reservation systems and much more!

What he's most proud of 

Hervé's pride lies above all in his personal achievements and the challenges he has met throughout his life. At the top of this list is the fulfilment of his family, an achievement he considers his greatest asset. His career as a professional gymnast presented him with challenges and sacrifices from an early age, but despite the obstacles, he managed to build a solid and loving home.

Another achievement of which he is particularly proud is to have succeeded professionally without a diploma, before starting his Master's degree, in a country where the value of a diploma is often emphasized. Despite social pressures and established norms, Hervé has managed to forge his own path and demonstrate that success cannot be measured by academic credentials alone! His atypical path is a source of inspiration for those who believe in the power of determination and perseverance.

Its cheat code 

For Hervé, the secret to success lies in the ability to dream big and aspire to bold goals "The wildest dreams are often the ones that deserve to be realized."

His cheat code for success is to nurture your most ambitious dreams and commit yourself fully to creating the future. He particularly encourages young people to adopt this philosophy, "young people are the artisans of tomorrow's world!"

In his view, it's essential to live with a vision that goes beyond the limits of the present, imagining the digital applications, services and lifestyles that will shape the future. Innovation and creativity would then be powerful tools for solving current and future challenges, including those related to environmental protection.

His advice for those who want to get started 

"My ultimate advice would be to stay curious!" For him, you shouldn't limit yourself in your technological aspirations, particularly in the field of Nocode, which is still in its infancy. With tools like ChatGPT and the development of AI, the possibilities are endless and constantly evolving. Hervé also stresses the importance of remaining open to future advances, such as quantum computing, which will open up new vistas for creating even more remarkable innovations.

What next?

Hervé's future is marked by a profound desire to reinvent the landscape of mental and emotional well-being. His goal is to relaunch his start-up focused on mental health, aware of the increasing challenges the working world can inflict on our well-being. He aspires to offer individuals easy, affordable access to relaxation solutions, helping to improve everyone's quality of life.

With this in mind, Hervé plans to use Nocode to extend his activities to coaching. As a mentor on dema1in. org and coach to a young person seeking networking and support, he realizes the power of mentoring in personal and professional development. Once he has completed his training, he would like to become a Nocode coach, to bring even greater and more meaningful support to those who need it!

For Hervé, the future looks set to be an opportunity to undertake projects that are both ambitious and committed, where Nocode becomes an essential tool for realizing his aspirations and making a positive impact on society.
