Portrait of Baptiste Wallerich, SEO expoert

Baptiste Wallerich, 31, entrepreneur and SEO expert, tells us all about his professional success.

Passionate about website design before Nocode was fashionable, he started coding 15 years ago. This passion has enabled him to develop solid expertise over the years in a constantly evolving technological sector. Having been immersed in technology for many years, Nocode and AI held no secrets for him since their emergence.

He is now self-employed, running his own SEO agency, whose client portfolio is as good as its 6-figure turnover.

Between ambition, personal triumphs and entrepreneurship, Baptiste tells you his whole story!

Personal presentation and background

Background: 31 years old, SEO expert, self-employed and head of his two companies, uRoot and Kanglof Artifices.

After graduating from high school, Baptiste enrolled in a DUT in computer science, already passionate about web design. He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, specializing in Web Marketing and Site Design in Paris. His academic career culminated in a master's degree in Digital Strategy, during which he completed rewarding work-study periods at the Fédération du E-commerce et de la Vente à Distance (FEVAD) and at SearchBIOS (now Hyffen) as Webmaster.

At that time, the idea of Nocode and AI was not very widespread. His career began mainly with coding and SEO, fields in which he has become an expert today.

Over the last seven years, Baptiste has diversified and broadened his skills, gradually including Nocode and AI in his tasks to optimize his work.

His versatility, touching on both development and SEO, sets him apart in a constantly evolving sector. but it's above all his determination that has led him to success, so he tells us "everything is accessible if you work hard!"

What he thinks of Nocode and AI

For Baptiste, the line between code and Nocode was blurred, with tools such as Elementor and WordPress already in existence before the term "Nocode" was coined. He recalls his first exchange on the subject with Francis Lelong, co-founder of Alegria.group, where they discussed these visual tools which, in his opinion, are nonetheless based on code. So, for him, Nocode represents continuity and evolution in the way we work.

"Code and Nocode are complementary, so I use Nocode tools such as Notion or Airtable to make things easier for me, especially database management."

In fact, Baptiste manages his entire business on Airtable (point of contact, cash boarding...). Being comfortable with relationships and databases, it's easy for him to customize his documents directly on the platform.

When it comes to knowledge bases, Baptiste uses Notion. For him, it's the key tool for managing service providers and methodological processes. From time to time, he also uses Webflow and Make when he needs them.

Baptiste observes that Large Language Models (LLM) technologies, such as ChatGPT, have become mainstream and easily accessible. He also sees these trends as natural evolutions of the possibilities offered by technology. For both Nocode and AI, he sees a great deal of marketing and visibility around these phenomena, but stresses that these subjects remain central to his professional field, where skills in languages such as HTML, JS, CSS, PHP and Python continue to be must-haves for an SEO-oriented career.

When it comes to AI, Baptiste shows an appetite for the subject, even if it's not his main field. His familiarity with AI goes back a long way, particularly in the context of SEO, where he first heard of concepts such as automated language processing (NLP) as long as five years ago, "if not more", he tells us. He adds: "I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of people who were interested in AI on the text generation side, were largely SEOs because they saw it as directly relevant to their business."

It was with the famous Francis Lelong, co-founder and CEO of Alegria.group, that he had his first conversation about this technological breakthrough.

His project feat Alegria.group

3 years ago, he collaborated with Alegria.group to create a website dedicated to the creation of a "state of the art between different tools". This site, Nocode SEO, helps you choose the right Nocode tools for your SEO objectives.

This project perfectly links Baptiste's two favorite fields: development and SEO.

What he's proud of

[Over the years, his expertise grew steadily, and he became an SEO expert and went into business for himself. He is now head of his own reputable SEO agency, in demand by major French brands such as Danone and Renault].

Baptiste's greatest source of pride is his SEO business. Indeed, he has accumulated all this knowledge to achieve his life's goal: to be self-employed. He confides that his business gives him "quite a lot of freedom and a certain social status".

His sales and customer portfolio are for him the fruit of all his efforts, allowing him to testify to the quality of his services "When you're a freelancer, you have no benchmark, you're your own judge. Having big logos that trust me shows that my work is synonymous with quality."

He's also proud to be able to combine two business activities, thanks to his flexibility and success. That's right, Baptiste doesn't run just one business, but two!

His second company has nothing to do with technology, but is just as exceptional. Called Kanglof Artifices, it is dedicated to setting off fireworks at various events. From a simple EVJG to the animation of the 14th of July, its services enable its customers and communities to experience events worthy of the name.

Its cheat code

"Diversify, accumulate skills. Do code, Nocode, UX Design, algorithms... The most important thing is to touch everything!"

Her advice for those who want to get started

"For me, it's important to start with the database part. So I advise you to start with Airtable." he adds, "It's a really cross-functional skill, so if you have a good database, everything around it becomes easy!"

What next?

Baptiste doesn't see himself working in technology at all in the future. Neither in code, nor in Nocode, nor in SEO. He admits, "I'm too much of a jack-of-all-trades. I've been channeling myself for 10 years, but now it's time, I want to see something else!" In the shorter term, he would like to restructure his personal branding, and continue to invest as much as possible in SEO and his business.

We wish him every success in his future adventures!
