Professor Profile: Hamza El Mansouri a 100% Tech career: from Artificial Intelligence to Nocode Ops

Notion is a powerful and versatile productivity tool that has conquered more and more companies. Nocode technologies now make it possible to simplify collaborative work and project management. To meet this growing need, Alegria.academy offers a 15-month training course, including a 12-month specialization period, to become an expert in automation or visual programming.

Today, focus on Hamza El Mansouri, Notion trainer at Alegria.academy.

Hamza's tech journey: from artificial intelligence to Nocode Ops

Hamza has had several entrepreneurial experiences, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence: first by creating with his associates Seeingrobot - which developed a cane for the visually impaired and blind - and then AI for Tomorrow - a community aimed at supporting young project leaders in the field of artificial intelligence with impact. Hamza has also worked in the venture capital sector, first at Bpifrance and then at Serena.

Freelance Nocode Ops for more than 2 years, his goal is to accompany startups and SMEs to optimize their internal processes using tools such as Notion, Airtable, Softr or Make.

Hamza's approach to passing on his knowledge

Quote Hamza El Mansouri Notion Alegria.academy

Hamza is passionate about sharing his knowledge and skills. He enjoys helping others to develop, both in their daily lives and in their professional lives. He also enjoys the intellectual challenges that require him to adapt his speech according to his audience, using a personalized approach for each individual. "I can't present Notion in the same way to people who have been in tech for several years and to people who have always used a paper medium to take notes and get organized," he explains.

Hamza is deeply convinced of the importance of the Nocode tools he uses, because they save time, whether by facilitating collaboration between different teams or by simplifying project management.

Teaching Notion through practice

Quote Hamza El Mansouri Notion Alegria.academy

Hamza, a teacher at Alegria.academy, shares his passion for Notion with an approach that encourages participation and collaboration. He teaches his classes over three days to give students a comprehensive view of Notion's features.

Before the course begins, Hamza assesses the students' previous knowledge of Nocode and Notion, in order to adapt his teaching and to form pairs by mixing the levels. Students start with a theoretical phase and then quickly move on to practice by working on a project divided into several exercises. Advanced students have bonus exercises to challenge them and help them deepen their Notion skills.

Whether the courses are held remotely or face-to-face, Hamza finds that the students are equally involved in the project he proposes.

At the end of the module, Hamza gives a last advice to the students: "I strongly encourage the students to practice as much as possible, because the most complex thing is not so much the technical mastery of the functionalities, but rather the awareness of all the possible use cases".

The Nocode Ops seen by Hamza

Nocode Ops aims to improve the efficiency of daily tasks by judiciously combining Nocode tools. For example, it is possible to create a powerful CRM by combining the functionalities of Notion and Airtable.

Nocode Ops is becoming a core competency for modern enterprises. Although the adoption of Nocode solutions may be more difficult in organizations where the culture of change is less present, young and dynamic companies are increasingly aware of the importance of mastering Nocode tools to improve their efficiency and productivity. Nocode Ops has the potential to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of companies, reducing repetitive tasks and allowing employees to focus on higher value-added tasks.

The qualities required to become a Nocode Ops expert

Quote Hamza El Mansouri Notion Alegria.academy

"I would advise any future Nocode Ops to have a deep understanding of a tool, while knowing how to use Make or n8n well in order to API different tools together."

While technical skills are important, the ability to listen is essential to understand clients' needs, rephrase their requests, and clearly communicate expected outcomes. Indeed, the most successful professionals are those who are able to combine technical and people skills to provide solutions that truly meet their clients' needs. Active listening is a key skill in building trust with the client and maximizing the chances of a successful project. "My greatest satisfaction is to tell a customer how much time he has saved after implementing Nocode solutions" explains Hamza.
Whether you are a freelancer or a permanent employee, at the end of each project, "you must know how to extract the 'substance'. Namely: note the mistakes we made, transcribe the main processes used and create templates - which can be reused later and save time," he says.
Hamza also advises to follow Notion "influencers" on Twitter or Youtube, to keep up to date with the latest news by subscribing to the official pages and newsletters or by getting into the habit of consulting the various communities of mutual aid like Reddit.
